Patient Profiles

Centralized patient records with demographics, medical history, allergies, and medications

Patient profiles are optional. You can use all Shifa tools without creating a patient profile, but linking data to a patient enables better AI analysis.

Creating a Patient

Go to Patients Section

Click "Patients" in the sidebar, then click "New Patient"

Enter Basic Information

Enter name, date of birth, and sex. These fields are required.

Add Medical History

Add allergies, conditions, and medications. These will be used for auto-fill.

Save Profile

Click "Create Patient". An auto ID (P-XXXXX) will be generated.

Linking to Assessments

How patient linking works with other tools

Patient Selector

Before starting any assessment, use the "Select Patient" dropdown to search and select an existing patient.

Auto-Fill

When a patient is selected, demographics, allergies, and medications are auto-filled in the form.

AI Context

How AI uses patient data

Context-Aware Analysis

When a patient is linked to an assessment, AI receives additional context including:

  • Complete patient profile
  • Previous assessments (last 30 days)
  • Recent lab results
  • Current medications and allergies

Best Practice

For best results, create a patient profile and link it to all assessments and labs. This allows AI to track trends and provide more accurate recommendations.

AI analyzes the last 90 days of patient data to generate a comprehensive clinical summary.

  • Generated in English, auto-translated to Arabic
  • Instant language switching (no regeneration needed)
  • Previous summaries history preserved
  • Excludes resolved alerts from recommendations

Alert management with resolution workflow

Alert Sources

Alerts are collected from assessments, lab results, infection control, and drug interactions.

Resolve or dismiss alerts with notes. Resolved alerts can be reactivated when needed.

Braden Scale

Pressure ulcer risk. Higher score = better (6-23 scale).

Morse Fall Scale

Fall risk. Lower score = better (0-125 scale).
